Boxes for Feb/March 2011
March 2011 Collection
Just a short reminder to let you know that there won’t be a vegetable box collection tomorrow. Due to the extremely cold winter the vegetables haven’t grown as quickly as planned.
However, some good news, the cabbages, leeks and white sprouting brocolli are all showing signs of new growth. We are planning to pick these as they become ready and deliver them out to you on a rota basis. We feel that this will be better than coming to collect a box with very little in it at the moment.
There are also signs of spring with both the raspberries and rhubarb, new shoots are emerging which is great to see after this cold winter.
Next week we are planning to start planting again. Onions, shallots, garlic, leeks, cabbages, calabresse, and cauliflowers are all ready to go as soon as soil conditions are good enough.
