We foresee that in order to begin harvesting a crop in spring 2010 we will need to start planting in October 2009. We will not require payment until April 2010 but will request a non-refundable deposit of one month’s rent to secure your plot. Payment will be required monthly in advance by standing order.

To make our idea viable we need to secure 20 full plot partners, or equivalent, by the end of October.

Next Year

In the longer term we would like to think ‘The Promised Land’ will become more than just a field that supplies us with fare, it will become an integral part of village life, providing us with a social gathering place and an opportunity for us all to reconnect with the land on which our food is grown.

We would like to host communal harvesting days in times of glut and educational days in methods of traditional preservation for times when crops dwindle. We would like to share recipes with our partners and host social events to strengthen our relationship with the local community.
